To switch to the Edit Mode click the Editing >> button. A new section will appear. To return to the Dictionary Mode press <Esc> or click the << Editing button. You can edit entries not only on the Dictionary tab, but on the Found tab as well: you can edit found entries.
There is a file field
below the search field. Here the name of the current assigned file is shown, which will be
played or opened if you press button on the
toolbar. To assign a new file click Edit button to edit the current
entry and
click button near this field to choose a file. It is desirable that you assign files which are in the same
folder or subfolder, where the dictionary is. This provides an easy way
for you to copy your dictionary to another computer.

Edit | Edit the current entry. The original word field will get the
focus. To go to the next field press <Tab> or click in it. After
making changes click the Update
button to update the current entry. To decline changes press <Esc> or click
the Cancel button. The Add New button will get the focus. When you click this button a new toolbar will appear. |

Add New | Add a new entry. After you have entered an original
word and the translation for it (you can also enter a transcription), click the Update
button to add the entry. If you don't want to add this entry press <Esc> or
click the Cancel button. The Add New button will get the focus.
So if you want to add one more entry just press <Enter>. When you click this button a new toolbar will appear. |

Delete | Delete the current Entry. In the appeared message box click Yes to delete the entry or click No to cancel the operation. | ||
Copy To/ Copy All To | Copy the current entry/all entries to the vocabulary, chosen in the
pull-down list on the right side of this button. You can also copy the
current entry by clicking the Copy to > button on the
toolbar. If you rest the mouse pointer on
the Copy to > button of the toolbar a tooltip will be shown which prompts where the
entry will be
copied.

Copy this vocabulary to ... | Copy the current vocabulary to any
dictionary of Pop-Up Dictionary format. The open dialog box will appear,
where you should choose the dictionary you want the current vocabulary
will be copied to. Note, that you can't copy a vocabulary if there is a vocabulary with the same name in the destination dictionary. So you can't to copy General vocabulary to any dictionary, for example. For this:

Move To/ Move All | Move the current entry/all entries from the current vocabulary to the vocabulary, chosen in the pull-down list on the right side of this button. |
Add New | Add a new vocabulary. Before clicking this button, type the name of a new vocabulary in the pull-down list above this button. You will be asked whether to use more than 255 symbols for the translation field (the dictionary will be larger) or not (it's more efficient, but the size of the translation field will be limited). |
Delete | Delete the chosen vocabulary. Before clicking it choose a vocabulary from the pull-down list above this button. You will be asked to move the entries of this vocabulary to the General vocabulary before deleting it. Click Yes to move all the entries before deleting the vocabulary, click No to delete the vocabulary without moving entries or click Cancel to cancel the operation. You cannot delete the General vocabulary. |
You can format entries. For this you should place an opening tag before the word, you want to format, and a closing tag after it.
You can use the buttons of the new appeared toolbar for adding/removing tags or use hot keys for this.
Make the selected text a reference
(adds <<, >> tags). If the selection has already these tags, it will
remove them. You can define the color of references on the Fields tab of the Options dialog box. The references can be links to websites (they are browsed in the translation field if clicked), to graphic files on a hard disk (e.g. <<img\1.jpg>>) or on a website (e.g. <<http://www.site.com/1.jpg>>), they are shown in the field (see a sample). |

(adds [c], [/c] tags). If the selection has already these tags, it will
remove them. You can define the color of features on the Fields tab of the Options dialog box. You can add tooltips for Features. In the ini-file of the dictionary under the General section add items "FeatureX=S1 - S2", where:

Make the selected text bold (adds [b], [/b] tags). If the selection has already these tags, it will remove them. | |
Make the selected text italic (adds [i], [/i] tags). If the selection has already these tags, it will remove them. | |
Underline the selected text (adds [u], [/u] tags). If the selection has already these tags, it will remove them. | |
Make the selected text superscript (adds [sup], [/sup] tags). If the selection has already these tags, it will remove them. | |
Make the selected text subscript (adds [sub], [/sub] tags). If the selection has already these tags, it will remove them. |
Other tags:
[l], [/l] | The paragraph between these tags becomes aligned to the left and the text direction is left to right, not depending on the text direction of the entry. |
[r], [/r] | The paragraph between these tags becomes aligned to the right and the text direction is right to left, not depending on the text direction of the entry. |
You can use also HTML-code in the translation field to enter tables, lists, pictures, etc. It will be correctly displayed in it:
